Last part of the last day in Rome!
After the ruins we set out for the Bocca della Verita
Which honestly I don’t know much about other than it’s in Roman Holiday and E wanted to go. But it was still fun!
Last doings after the break!
There was a line to go to it, and a little stand where a dude took your “donation.”
Then you could take your picture:
For being so small, and out of the way, they took it very seriously:
They even had like… tissue ponchos for those not dressed appropriately.
Hadrian’s Crypt was right next door, so we decided to go there since we could.
From there we headed back to the hostel to get our bags.
And then we headed to the train station, where we had to catch a bus to get to the airport.
But on the way!
We saw a lot of cool things.
Buuuut… we stopped and got gelato!
Terribly unflattering. But we *had* to get some in Italy. It’s one of those musts. And yes, it was delicious.
Saw this store while walking around (or maybe from the bus?), and thought it was amusing 8D
I don’t know if Bimbo means something in Italian?
Leaving the city! Took that from the bus.
And then bye bye Italy ;_;
We actually got to the airport way too early, because it’s such a small airport the security was like nothing. Better safe than missing the flight though!
When we got to England we took the subway/underground then a bus to Katy’s, where she was suuuuper nice to last minute host us. I’d actually booked a hostel close to Heathrow, where we were headed in the morning, but realized we’d get in SO late we basically wouldn’t sleep, as it was we got to Katy’s at 2am. She had a bed ready and everything~ The best!
