Continuing on our island adventure, some cows.
Even more pics, but no more cows.
This pic was meant to have been in the last entry, whoops. It was right where I was sitting, it’s hard to tell in the picture but it sort of.. drops off here and is rather high up.
So then we went to this abandoned slate quarry.
It had that above the entrance (you couldn’t go very far in, hazard and all).
But since it was a quarry, all I could think of was Doctor Who. That’s my Doctor Who action pose.
Obviously.
The view from there was very nice. Well, everywhere was very nice. But the quarry is pretty high up.
I’m not sure you can really tell though.
There were fuchsias everywhere, lining the roads.
This is from E’s camera, I’m not sure which vantage point it was taken from.
Buildings!
Colourful buildings!
Probably not even from the same side of the island, another from E’s cam.
We saw this, so stopped, because we could.
There were no signs to indicate what it was though.
I assume some sort of abbey, or thereabouts. It looked like maybe a graveyard nearby.
Totally open on top, probably had a wooden roof once upon a time.
E staring up.
And more flowers!
Not as prevalent as the fuchsias though.
